Be able to model motion under gravity in a vertical plane using vectors.
Be able to formulate the equations of motion of a projectile using vectors.
Standard modelling assumptions for projectile motion are as follows.
- No air resistance.
- The projectile is a particle.
- Horizontal distance travelled is small enough to assume that gravity is always in the same direction.
- Vertical distance travelled is small enough to assume that gravity is constant.
Excludes: Calculations involving air resistance.
