I am a retired secondary school teacher. I love gardening and tennis and I am trying to improve my French language. I also enjoy travelling. Prior to teaching I worked in the petrochemical industry for about 14 years then trained to be a teacher.

Teaching Experience
I have taught Chemistry to A level standard and GCSE Science in 2 local secondary schools for approximately 16 years. I am able to tutor all syllabuses. I have been tutoring students for 5 years.
Tutoring Approach
From my experience, I know that there are several pitfalls that students typically fall into. I identify these and support students to rectify their errors. I use books containing past paper questions which I set weekly, then either get the student to mark them themselves or I mark them in the sessions. Either method allows me to go back over with the student the areas that need addressing.
