I am a Biology teacher based in Dumfries and Galloway. I qualified in Marine and Freshwater Biology in 2013 and worked as a Fisheries Biologist for 6 years before training to be a teacher. I have gone from really struggling in school to achieving a 1st Class degree so I have a passion for encouraging students to discover what type of learner they are and making the courses manageable.

I have been teaching since 2021 with 5 years experience in N5 and 4 years teaching Higher Biology.

I believe that a big part of tutoring is helping students work out their learning style and encouraging them to develop their independent learning skills. I am not naturally academic and have always had to work hard to learn and remember content so I have a passion for making content relevant and showing little ways of remembering difficult concepts.
