So far a great first year with Maria as my tutor. She has been diligent and understanding of my requests. She has a unique ability to not only make the lessons interactive but also share insights into traditions and the culture.

I had sessions with Maria from the start of year 13 while working towards my Russian A-level, and found her to be very helpful in explaining the subject content/ helping me evaluate my essays, as well explaining the exam process and breaking down the mark schemes to help me understand the criteria for success and pinpoint points of weakness that we worked on improving together. This is particularly helpful for essays and the speaking exam/independent research project, as these mark schemes can be tricky to understand. I have now achieved an A* in this A level.
