Arina is a wonderful tutor! Her lessons are engaging and well-structured- it is clear that she takes pride in her work. She is also very knowledgeable about languages and learning in general, with unique insights into what kinds of things students might find difficult. She is kind and flexible as a teacher, with a great sense of humour. I have really enjoyed classes with her so far.

We only had one session, and he worked through the task that I gave to him really well and completed it to the standard that was expected from him. Perhaps, if he and I had more sessions, it would be easier for you to see that my skillset is aligned with what he needs. I found Arina through the First Tutors website, where she had excellent reviews, and decided to go with her to help my 8 year old son develop his creative writing skills. My son really enjoys Arina’s approach to teaching — he says she explains things clearly and helps him build confidence to think beyond his usual limits. We’ve had a few sessions so far, and I’m truly impressed. Arina is kind, patient and creates a positive learning environment that my son looks forward to every week. Arina has been such a great help in preparing me for my A-Level exams in History of Art. She’s improved how I structure my points and paragraphs, which has made my writing clearer. Her practical approach to revision is constructive as she breaks down complex art concepts and terms, showing me how to use them effectively, which has made it a lot easier for me to understand and remember everything. Moreover, she also helped me to think critically about the artworks and their historical contexts. I feel much more ready to analyse artworks in detail now. Trully a cross-disciplinary field, history of art. It was great working together and exploring so many concepts to do with not only art techniques, but also political, social and cultural contexts within which artworks were produced. Arina is clearly a very smart person and knows her subject well. However, we’ve decided to stop the lessons as we found it quite difficult to connect — both for our daughter and for us as parents. While Arina seems like a kind and genuine person, the way the lessons were delivered and the overall communication didn’t really work for us. It felt like teaching and engaging with children might not be her strongest side, despite her intelligence and good intentions.

In our first online session, we worked on a story about aliens and your daughter has a lot of ideas about it and was writing them down. In our second, and the final face-to-face session, your daughter did really well too - she was recreating the story about the Trojan Horse, using new vocabulary in her recount, and then using new vocabulary in her own sentences. She remembered the definitions of new words and then started writing a story from a point of view of Odysseus. It was great for me to see that she completed her homework so diligently. I wish her all the best in her future studies!

Arina has been an amazing English tutor for my year 7 son. She is extremely organised and plans interesting and exciting lessons that really hone into the skills he needs to do well in his English lessons. She has really improved his assessment grade whilst teaching him. I highly recommend her as tutor.

Anna was just fabulous. She provided perfect preparation to meet my request and the needs of my children (a week of priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons 1to1 for 1h30 per day for two French-speaking boys aged 9 and 12). She was able to readjust the duration of the lessons (from 2 hours to 1 hour 30 minutes) to their concentration abilities. She gave them homework to make learning as effective as possible. It was a profitable week for my two children. They have improved their English skills a lot thanks to Anna.

The fact that you communicated with me so well - you provided me with an overview of topics that your children would be interested in and grammar points that they could benefit in practising - really helped me shape the course for them and target the areas in English that they really needed to practise. Also, they completed homework on a daily basis and it also positively contributed to their overall progress.
Arina is a really good teacher, my Russian has improved so much since I have started lessons. As well as writing, we also do a lot a speaking practise which I think helps for more natural conversations. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to start or improve their Russian.
