I majored in Chinese at university and then lived in Beijing for 24 years but I'm also fluent in French and Spanish. I have always loved language and learning languages and I completed a Masters in Applied Linguistics a few years ago.

Our daughter is an almost fluent Mandarin speaker but her reading an writing needed serious improvement. Amanda has been quite amazing in what she has achieved in a short time. Our daughter's reading and writing have dramatically improved and she has a far better understanding of the grammar and structure of the language. Amanda is a wonderful tutor and is on course to helping our daughter achieve a good IB result next year.

Amanda is a really outstanding teacher. She has worked with my daughter Rosie to prepare for her HSK exam and Mandarin GCSE. Over the time Rosie worked with Amanda, we saw her grasp of the language completely change and her confidence grow exponentially. Rosie did brilliantly in both exams and is now going on to study Mandarin A'level which would never have been a consideration previously. I would highly recommend Amanda as a teacher.
