Hi there! I'm an incoming philosophy undergraduate at the University of Cambridge. I received four A* grades at A level in mathematics, history, ancient Greek and religious studies, as well as ten grades of 9 at GCSE and an A* in my EPQ.

I've worked as a summer camp counsellor specialising in teaching hiking and racquet sports, and have helped with ski school operations when training to qualify as a ski instructor. When I was at school I directed a programme focused on introducing younger students to essay competitions and delivered one-to-one support sessions aimed at improving struggling students' reading ability.

For academic tutoring aimed at a specific exam like a GCSE or A level, I will focus on solidifying content and applying it successfully to exam-style tasks. This means that for subjects like mathematics there will be an emphasis on past papers and practice questions, sometimes under timed conditions, whilst for essay subjects I will cover essay technique and exam 'game plans' in detail to ensure that students maximise their potential on examination.

For tutoring without this discrete direction, I'll follow the requests of the learner for what they would like to get out of it. Sessions will be more discussion-based, probably with a brief text to study and puzzle out (if subject applicable). The emphasis will be on improving the learner's knowledge of a topic in a relaxed and intellectually enjoyable environment.
