My name is Louise and I currently work in the Biomedical Science profession and have worked across NHS and Private Healthcare for the past 10 years. I have also recently qualified as a Level 5 Health Coach and I have a passion for educating and coaching individuals of all ages in both academia and in promoting good health and lifestyle.

I have a passion for teaching and I am looking forward to working with individuals from school age through to University level to inspire and motivate people to reach their academic goals.

I am an experienced tutor previously working for the company First Tutors over the course of the past 10 years. I have experience tutoring at various school ages ranging from 5-18 years old covering mainly Maths and Science subjects (Biology and Chemistry) - this includes Secondary/High School level students at Scottish National 5/Higher/Advanced Higher and GCSE/A Level.

I have some experience in tutoring college students assisting with coursework in Science/Health related courses and with University students who are pursuing Biology/Biomedical related degrees.

I have a wealth of experience in preparing students for undertaking school exams and in providing general support at all school ages in topics and subject areas relating to Maths and Science to help students overcome challenges with ease.

I adopt a unique tailored approach to tutoring based on every individual student's needs to ensure that they feel at ease and the adopted method of teaching is comfortable for them to achieve their desired learning goals. The method of teaching can be adapted to suit the student as the tuition sessions progress to ensure that confidence grows and learning needs are being met.

With children learning between ages of 5-12, I utilise resources which are as interactive as possible with use of their own learning materials provided by their school to ensure that the teaching is in line with methods they are familiar with using.

For students 12-18 at High school age the same approach of using interactive methods of teaching is encouraged with a stronger emphasis on using as many Past paper exam style revision questions as possible to best prepare students for upcoming exams.

I am happy to adapt teaching styles as necessary to ensure the individual student feels confident that their questions are being answered and that confidence is boosted to make learning enjoyable and overcome any academic hurdles they are facing.
