I'm a long time part time tutor of mathematics. Having studied Mathematics & Philosophy at Magdalen college, University of Oxford I have a passion for the teaching of mathematics and wider interest in the subject.

I also work as a chartered accountant with 6 years of professional experience.

I'm based in Hampshire and London and prefer to teach online.

2 years Oxbridge admissions tutoring for Mathematics, including for Oxbridge admissions tests (MAT, STEP, TMUA), interview preparation, and Personal Statements.

3 years Mathematics A-Level, IB, and GCSE tutoring, including problem solving, technique, and exam preparation. Every student I have tutored for Mathematics A Level or GCSE has attained an A or A*.

2 years as volunteer work as a Teaching Assistant at Priestlands School and Burgate School, offering mathematics teaching assistance as well as specific Oxbridge coaching to students as required including personal statement advice and Oxbridge interview preparation.

4 years professional coaching experience. In my professional capacity as a chartered accountant working at KPMG and Deloitte as an assistant manager and senior consultant coached juniors through complex modelling and mathematical problems and techniques.

I have tutored for several years and have a deep and comprehensive understanding of what is needed to excel in Oxbridge applications, whether in the MAT, STEP, TMUA, interviews, or in Personal Statements; as well as for A-Level and GCSE Mathematics.

My tutoring sessions are generally demanding, but very friendly. Ultimately, I want you to come out of our sessions with a better understanding of the mathematical topic areas required for your exams. But every student is different, and my tutoring approach is geared towards the best style to help you develop your understanding of the topic at hand. Whether that’s about building your confidence with interview questions, working through your general approach of how you tackle mathematical problems or just honing in on a particular difficult topic.
