Very calm and personable and engaged well with my sons for their GCSE Maths. It’s early days but they seem to be progressing well with the extra guidance Matthew is giving them.

Fantastic maths tutor. Always challenges my daughter appropriately but also builds her confidence. She is really enjoying the lessons and works hard in them. Feel fortunate to have found such a great maths tutor.

We started using Matthew back in February to help my son prepare for his GCSE’s as he felt he needed some extra support. He found that his sessions with Matthew helped massively and gave my son the confidence boost he needed. Matthew is always very polite and my son always felt confident after their tutoring sessions. Haven’t had Matthew for long but my son seems to be working really well with him and is motivated. I’m really pleased my son has set himself a maths goal which he has never done before. After lessons he feels proud of what he has achieved in his lesson and talks about what he has learned which is a really good sign. Matthew seems flexible and chilled! He is a thumbs up from me!

In a short focused timescale Richard quickly developed a good rapport with my 16 yr old boy. Focusing on his gaps and consolidating what he did know , my sons confidence grew and having been predicted a pass , final GCSE maths was a grade 7. Matthew has been an excellent maths tutor for my 15 year old son who is in year 10. My son is dyslexic and was very reluctant to have a tutor due to a previous neative experience. However, he felt comfortable with Matthew from the first sessions and has been happy to continue. My son has explained that he does not feel comfortable to ask for additional help and explanations in school but is very happy to ask Matthew, who explains new concepts in a clear way. My son feels his maths is definately improving. Matthew began tutoring my son just before lockdown and we transitioned to online tutoring with ease. Matthew has been patient while we have got used to setting up skype. I thoroughly recommend Matthew as a tutor and am delighted my son is benefitting from his lessons.

Matthew is currently helping my 8 year old develop his core maths skills, not only to bring him up to the correct educational level for his year group but also giving him the confidence to use numbers and to enhance his learning to prepare him for SATs and 11+...
