Hello! I am a very experienced A-level biology teacher and Cambridge graduate. I provide high-quality tuition for all exam boards. As a senior examiner, I offer a deeper understanding when it comes to answering exam questions and my students benefit from my individualised approach to learning. I understand the content and know the common exam technique errors made by students. It’s about identifying these areas and working together to improve.

I have over 30 years of teaching experience in 11-18 schools and sixth form colleges, teaching A level biology and GCSE science. As a fully qualified teacher, I have a master's degree from Cambridge University and a post graduate teaching certificate from Lancaster University. My extensive experience as a senior examiner means that I understand exactly how to teach students the best way to answer exam questions.

During a typical lesson I focus on explaining concepts and aim to improve the understanding of the subject content and exam technique. From the outset, I focus on how to answer exam questions because ultimately this is how the exam board will award the grades. My lessons are well resourced and I offer my own finely tuned A-level notes, revision guides and question booklets. I am an accomplished author of GCSE and A-level resources for several publishers and my resources are used by many students around the world. I am willing to accept any student for A-level Biology who is prepared to work hard and who wants to achieve their full potential in life.
