I am an experienced Scottish secondary-school Business Management teacher with over 13 years of teaching and private tutoring experience. I specialise in National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Business Management. I am also a qualified and regular SQA marker, with over 10 years of experience marking examinations and coursework at these levels. I enjoy helping students develop their understanding, confidence and exam skills, with the ultimate aim of improving their attainment.

I have over 13 years of experience teaching Business Management in secondary schools, across National 3/4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher. Alongside classroom teaching, I have provided one-to-one tuition to students for over 13 years, supporting learners with a wide range of abilities and needs.

I am a qualified and regular SQA marker, with over 9 years of experience marking National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher examinations and coursework. This has given me valuable insight into the assessment process and the standards expected of candidates.

I have also taught Advanced Higher Business Management through Glasgow Caledonian University's Advanced Higher Hub, delivering lessons both in person and online.

My approach is tailored to the needs of each individual student. I would normally begin by identifying what the student already understands, where they are experiencing difficulties and what they want to achieve. From there, I adapt each lesson accordingly.

Depending on the student's needs, lessons may involve teaching or reinforcing course content, answering questions, working through past-paper questions, developing exam technique or providing live feedback on written answers. I use Microsoft Teams and shared OneDrive documents, allowing us to work collaboratively during lessons.

I am also happy to provide students with my own teaching and revision resources to support their learning between sessions. My aim is not simply to cover the course content, but to identify what each student needs to improve their understanding, confidence and ultimately their attainment.
