I am qualified maths and physics teacher with over 4 years experience in education. I am currently working in a university teaching pre-university maths where I am also studying a part-time masters in theoretical physics. I enjoy football, running, hiking, travelling to new places, as well as board games and gaming in general. I also like to watch movies and tv series especially sci-fi. I like to incorporate mutual interests into my teaching.

I have taught physics and maths ks3, GCSE and A level. I have also taught GCSE electronics. I have experiencing working in different institutions this includes state schools, academies, free-schools, international and independent. I am currently offering only KS3, GCSE and A level maths subjects until further notice to build up my tutoring work gradually.

I take a gentle approach to tutoring - I like to praise students for hard work and develop students confidence. In terms of academic rigour my teaching style takes aspects of cognitive science and direct instruction. Learning is not isolated it doesn't fit into a neat 1hr tutoring session it requires reviewing, interleaving and relating it to prior knowledge and embedding into our schema. I like to use mini-whiteboards (online as well) for low stakes during the learning process as well as to check students understanding and prerequisite knowledge - this allows me to adapt my tutoring session according to the students needs. I also use past exam papers when appropriate to improve exam technique.
