We thought we'd be quite a challenge for Maria. Austrian 41 (no Spanish, but some Italian) and English 66 (a little Spanish) wanting to learn / improve Spanish together (2:1), off to Spain in a couple of months to visit friends. But no, Maria is very good indeed! Our main wish was to learn Spanish in order to lead conversations in Spanish with our Spanish friends. Polite thing to do we thought. We know that Maria is also an excellent teacher for kids and other students and that she is perfect when it comes to grammar and all that. We don't neglect that part either, but the emphasis for us is on conversation and - already after only 5 tutorials - we can actually lead some sensible conversation. No doubt we'll surprise our friends in Spain! We think it is important to learn Spanish with a Spanish 'native' as a teacher and Maria was the only Spanish 'native' in our area, so an easy choice. Luckily Maria turned out to be really the best choice, as she is absolutely lovely, intelligent, witty, well prepared and we always look forward to our lessons with her. Even though my husband had already some Spanish I wasn't holding him back and at the same time I wasn't overwhelmed - Maria manages to teach the two of us at the same time. We highly recommend Maria! We couldn't be happier.

I find Maria to be wonderful teacher. Her pleasant manner make my lessons a joy to attend, and I because I enjoy my lessons, learning and remembering the language is made that much easier.
