I have recently graduated from the University of Southampton with a first in my masters in Mathematics. In each year of my degree I received awards for academic performance including the mathematics prize for best overall academic performance in 2026. I also received an A* in both Maths and Further Maths at A level. I am looking to assist students with GCSE Maths, A level Maths or Further Maths. I am deeply passionate about the subject of maths and would like to help students who are maybe not quite as confident in their maths to enjoy the subject as much as I do whilst meeting their academic targets.

I have two years of experience working with first year maths university students helping them with coursework and other questions related to different modules whilst providing support for the transition to university. During this period I really enjoyed getting to explain different mathematical ideas to students and to help students feel more confident in their mathematical skills.

I like to use a demonstrative approach to tutoring by initially working through an example with the student because I think that examples can best illustrate the key ideas behind mathematical concepts and then allowing the student to work through some questions at their own pace with me able to support them and help them if they have any more questions or correct them on any mistakes in a safe environment.
