Hi! I'm an award-winning senior editor, author and proofreader in the academic publishing industry. I have edited hundreds of academic student textbooks, so I really understand what goes into getting the best exam results. I have worked for some of the biggest publishing houses in the world (including Pearson, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Hachette and Springer Nature). I know what students need to do to get the best results through my background in academia.

I have been privately tutoring since 2020, and I have helped hundreds of students achieve their study goals. I specialise in English language, English Literature, English as a second language, Spanish and French, but I can also help with study skills and exam prep in most subjects. I'm friendly and flexible, and I'm always happy to tailor sessions around your needs. I like to spend the first session getting to know my students and discovering together the areas in which you feel you need some support. Then we will work out your personalised study plan and take it from there!

I have taught English as a second language in schools, colleges and businesses in France, Colombia, Mexico and the UK since 2012. I have also worked as a private tutor since 2020, and I have worked with more students than I can count. My background of international classroom teaching and significant tutoring experience makes me a highly experienced tutor. Additionally, I'm a yoga and meditation teacher, so I have plenty of teaching experience through that!

I am probably one of the friendliest tutors you will ever meet, but I don't cut corners and I encourage my students to reach the high standards they are capable of.

For exams such as GCSEs and A-Levels, I always get my students to do plenty of practice exam papers so we can really break down and structure a good answer together. With my language students, I will get you speaking in the target language from our first session. I strongly focus on grammar and conversational skills.

Ultimately, I build my sessions around the best method for the student. I'm always open to feedback and have had many students continue their tutoring journey with me for years.
