I am a qualified Mathematics teacher and current Head of Mathematics at a secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. I graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and later completed my PGCE in Mathematics at King's College London, gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

With over 12 years of experience working with young people, I have taught and tutored students across KS3, GCSE, A-Level and Further Mathematics. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in mathematics, develop a deeper understanding of key concepts, and achieve their academic goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve their foundations or excel at the highest level, I am committed to helping them reach their full potential.

I have over 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience, supporting students of all ages and abilities. My journey began through private tutoring before progressing into mentoring roles within schools in Tower Hamlets while studying at university.

Following graduation, I worked as an Academic Mentor before completing my teacher training and becoming a qualified Mathematics teacher. Since then, I have taught Mathematics across all secondary year groups, from Year 7 to Year 13, including GCSE, A-Level and Further Mathematics. I am currently the Head of Mathematics at a secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets.

Alongside my classroom teaching, I continue to provide private tuition, working with students ranging from those who need additional support and confidence-building to high-achieving students targeting top grades and university aspirations.

I believe that every student learns differently and therefore requires an approach tailored to their individual needs. At the start of tuition, I assess each student's strengths and areas for development, allowing me to create a personalised learning plan with clear short-term and long-term goals.

My lessons focus on developing both understanding and confidence. I break down challenging concepts into manageable steps, use targeted questioning to check understanding, and provide plenty of opportunities for guided and independent practice. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and problem-solving skills, ensuring students know not only how to answer questions but also why the methods work.

I also believe that a positive tutor-student relationship is key to success. By creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing greater confidence in their abilities. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students become independent, resilient and confident mathematicians.
