I’m a First-Class Physics graduate from Imperial College London, where I also spent a year abroad in Madrid working on my Master’s project, which was later published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Outside of physics, I’m a pretty social and active person: I DJ, rock climb, sail and generally like trying new things. I think that comes across in my teaching: I like lessons to feel relaxed, conversational and enjoyable, and I make a point of getting to know my students rather than keeping things purely academic.

I've been tutoring for 6 years, from secondary-school entrance exams through to GCSE and A-level. I now focus on GCSE and A-level students of all abilities. Last year, both of my A-level Maths students achieved As, and one of them went from a C in her summer mocks to an A in her final exams.

I specialise in GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics, both online and in person. I usually teach 1.5-hour lessons, and am happy to do multiple sessions per week, particularly in the run-up to exams.

I don't believe in doing 100 near-identical questions just for the sake of it. I focus on precision and understanding: finding exactly where a student is going wrong, fixing it, and then making sure they can apply the idea somewhere unfamiliar. I start each lesson with a short puzzle related to the subject, often outside the standard curriculum, because being able to think beyond the question in front of you is what separates knowing a method from really understanding a subject.
