Teaching Experience
My training is in teaching undergraduates at Oxford. My students regularly go from D to A, or B to A*. I have 16 years of experience as an A level tutor in both science and English literature, covering all exam boards. In biology I have taught OCR, AQA, Edexcel A, Edexcel B and CIE. My English literature students have mainly studied OCR and AQA, though I have taught Edexcel as well.
Tutoring Approach
Not everyone can get an A* but everyone can improve. I focus on teaching students to understand the concepts that underpin the A level syllabus. They cannot succeed by merely learning facts and mark schemes. They must be able to apply that knowledge. And the only way they can do that is by understanding everything fully. Then the A and A* grades are open to them.
