Teaching Experience
I am currently working in a Glasgow secondary school and have been for the last 20 years. I teach all year groups from S1 -S6 and teach National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Biology. I am also currently a Qualifications Scotland (formerly SQA) marker. I have previously lectured at University level.
Tutoring Approach
My approach to tutoring is a positive and encouraging approach where personalised mentorship of the student combined with a targeted academic strategy to focus directly on the exact concepts or area causing difficulty, are key. Pacing of lessons and teaching materials are adjusted to meet the needs of the student to help them to learn course content, prepare for exams, build confidence and prevent students from becoming overwhelmed.
