I have been a teacher since Sept 1997, mostly Geography but also other humanities subjects. From 2000-2017 I lived and taught in Perth, Western Australia which had a slightly different syllabus but I am used to adapting to most Geography related courses. Since returning to the UK I have taught GCSE and A level, marked external exams and now tutor exclusively so am available at most times. I am a keen traveller and have been to all 7 continents, I like to use these experiences where possible in my lessons.

I prefer to use powerpoint when tutoring to keep track of all the information and add some visuals from travel photos to useful graphics and images. I like to make the subject as interesting and relevant as possible and find the images I have can really help in many cases. I like to set at least one essay style question/week and have it sent to me before the following week so we can discuss. Essay/exam practice is one of the biggest challenges for many students.
