After my son started studying Maths in 6th Form at grammar school, it became clear very quickly that the complexity level was much harder, than it was in GCSE. My son was lacking a spark and motivation that his teacher at secondary school was giving to him and so the feedback from his current school techer didn't sound promising. Therefore, I started looking for a tutor, who not only would be a highly experienced and knowledgeable Maths teacher, but who would also be able to raise a genuine interest in subject. When I saw John's profile, I felt that this could be exactly what I was looking for. After the very first lesson my son was impressed by the teaching approach John offered and felt immediate trust to him. My son has been trying to follow all the advices John's giving and as a result his Maths predicted grade is now A* and Maths is the favorite subject again. John has tutored our son for maths GCSEs. John is an extremely caring, patient and supportive tutor. He is also very knowledgeable and with many years teaching in state schools, understand children's behaviour and getting the pace right up to GCSEs. My son has some challenging behaviour getting quickly frustrated when he cannot understand a concept but this did not deter John who was determined to help and over the weeks he built a trusted relationship with my son.
