Hi! I’m Anne, a classically trained piano teacher. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Curriculum and Instruction Music. I was born and raised in the Philippines and finished my Music Degree in one of the most prestigious schools in Music in the Philippines. I furthered my studies in Canada graduating with a Post Graduate Diploma in Music.

Since getting married in 2008, I’ve moved to the UK and am now settled in a lovely town in the outskirts of Bristol and Bath. This is where I have now set up my Piano and Music Theory Tuition.

Aside from teaching, I am also very much involved in the Music Ministry of our Catholic Parish church in Keynsham. I have been involved in the Music Ministry since 2009. Before which, I was also involved with my Music Ministry in the Philippines and at one time was head of the Ministry for 8 years before moving to the UK.

I was also the lead singer in an all female retro band from 2000-2008 back in the Philippines where our band won an Aliw award (a prestigious award for Philippine arts and music) for best band for restaurants and bars.

I have been teaching private piano and music theory for over 40 years having started straight out of university in 1985. I was also a primary school Music teacher for 20 years in Maria Montessori Children’s school in the Philippines before moving to the UK.

I have continued my private practice here in the UK since moving here in 2008 and have gained many students, teaching both children and adults.

My students ages range from 6 - 70 years.

As I am a classically trained piano teacher, I use method books to teach based more on classical music and light classics. Students learn how to read music (notations) from the start. I teach at a relaxed and comfortable environment so my students feel at ease when learning the piano. I teach to make the grades or for leisure. I prepare students for piano exams if and when I feel the student is ready. I am registered with both ABRSM and Trinity examination boards but prefer using ABRSM. I teach both face to face at my residence or online (FaceTime, Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp).
