I'm a violinist, pianist and singer who has worked with multiple different genres including traditional folk, classical and electronic. Teaching is the other half of my musical practice and it brings me an enormous amount of joy and inspiration to help people learn and enjoy music.

Since 2021, I've been teaching violin, piano and singing privately and at evening schools. I have also run choirs and folk music ensembles. Previous to this, I was an art workshop facilitator, running workshops that mostly focused on performance, theatre and costume. I've been performing and composing music since 2011. Aside from my Masters in traditional folk music, I have extensive experience in classical piano and singing.

My main focus as a teacher is to help students develop their creativity, confidence and - above all - their enjoyment of their instrument and the music. I work with both written notation and learning by ear in order for the student to get a full sense of their musicality and an understanding of what their instrument can do.

No matter what the students age or ability, I always try to make the lessons enjoyable, engaging and relevant for the particular student.
