I grew up in Hessen, Germany but have lived and worked in the UK for over 30 years. In Frankfurt I had acquired a diploma in commercial and industrial interpreting before marrying and moving to England. In London I acquired a RSA Certificate in Teaching Foreign Languages to Adults.

Prior to becoming a qualified tutor, I worked as a bilingual PA in the City of London, proof-reading and editing German correspondence and often providing commercial translations into German or English.

I moved back to Germany in 2024.

For the past 15 years I have been tutoring students of all ages and abilities on a one to one basis from my home near St Albans and increasingly online. This has included beginners, AS, A1, A2 also B1 and B2 levels and Open University students.

The Tutor Reviews show my experience and approach to tutoring during the time I had been offering my services on the First Tutors website before this company had to close down.

I also have received very nice thank you letters from other students.

I am good at adjusting and responding to a student‘s nature, interests and requirements which helps to build their confidence, ability and motivation.

Most students, having started with tuition, keep going for several years or sometimes longer. They tell me that they enjoy the friendly and relaxed atmosphere I can provide.

I love the German language and hope to continue to share my knowledge and enthusiasm.
