I have been a private maths tutor since 2010.
I have a degree in Philosophy and Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh (a First, for what it's worth). But my years of experience as a tutor is what counts now. And despite those years, I'm still as enthusiastic as when I started!

Starting during the pandemic, I now also offer online tuition.
I specialise in the Scottish Secondary curriculum and exams (Mathematics and Applications of Mathematics at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher).
I bring enthusiasm, yet also infinite patience and calm, to the task of helping you or your child overcome any difficulties with maths.
I adapt my approach to the individual student according to their strengths, weaknesses and goals. I can suggest an approach, but so can you. I've learnt a lot from my students.
Where appropriate, I can provide individually-tailored worksheets to reinforce learning between sessions.
