Hi! I'm Nathan, a Cambridge graduate who has been working full-time as a private tutor for over eleven years now with plentiful and diverse experience. I've tutored students across all abilities and backgrounds, and worked to deliver results for all my clients.

Alongside full-time tutoring I also work directly as an examiner for most major exam boards (including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR) for both coursework and summer exams. I receive training and resources directly so I know exactly what examiners are thinking - because I am one!

I'm a friendly, chatty person with a deep interest in history, literature, and film (quiz me!), and I always offer lovely photographs of my old dogs (Elvis and Pickle) whenever requested. I'm from a working-class background and so I know, truly, that hard work, preparation, and patience are all that are required to do.

My approach is work-led: homeworks, exam questions, past papers, and an absolute focus on (a) grasping precise content, and (b) applying writing and argument directly to mark scheme criteria. Each session is guided by piece(s) of written work before moving on to the next piece of exam preparation.

As an examiner and a tutor I have the same approach - the mark scheme is king. It guides my entire style and it is why I get results.
