I am currently studying for a BA in English at the University of Exeter and am in my second year, having achieved a 1:1 in my first year. My long-term goal is to become a Secondary School English Teacher, so I am passionate about helping students develop both their academic skills and their confidence. I received a 9 in English GCSE and an A at A Level. I have been tutoring KS3 Students for nearly 3 years and I speacialise in 11+ training, and English at any level.

I have gained valuable years of tutoring experience supporting students from Primary School through to GCSE level, including 11+ and GCSE exam preparation for 3 years. This was both in person and online. This role taught me how to adapt my teaching style to suit different learners, explain challenging concepts clearly, and create a positive learning environment. I also tracked student progress, communicated regularly with parents, and worked collaboratively with colleagues to support students' development.

My teaching approach is centred on creating a supportive, engaging, and encouraging learning environment where every student feels confident to ask questions and make mistakes. I believe that every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching style and lesson plans to suit each student's individual needs, strengths, and learning preferences.

I aim not only to improve academic performance but also to build confidence, resilience, and independent learning skills that students can carry beyond the classroom. By breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps and using positive encouragement, I help students develop a genuine understanding of the subject rather than simply memorising content.

I believe strong communication with both students and parents is essential to supporting progress, and I strive to create lessons that are interactive, motivating, and focused on helping every student reach their full potential.
