Hi, I’m Arshaaq, a finance professional with a strong academic and professional background in accounting and finance. I hold a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Surrey, have completed all CIMA professional examinations, and I am currently a CFA Level II candidate.

Over the years, I have developed strong practical experience across accounting, financial analysis, financial modelling and corporate finance. I enjoy making accounting concepts easier to understand and helping students build the confidence to approach questions independently.

I have previous experience tutoring CIMA students across specific accounting and finance modules, which I began before attending university. I supported students with understanding technical concepts, working through calculations and preparing for exam-style questions.

Having completed the CIMA examinations myself, I understand the challenges students can face when learning accounting and preparing for professional examinations. This experience has helped me learn how to explain difficult topics in a simple and practical way, adapting my teaching style to each student's level of understanding.

My approach is to make accounting simple, practical and easy to understand. I first focus on ensuring that the student understands the logic behind a concept rather than simply memorising formulas or accounting rules.

I then use worked examples and practice questions to build their confidence before encouraging them to solve questions independently. I adapt my lessons to each student's strengths and weaknesses and, for students preparing for exams, place particular emphasis on question practice, exam technique and time management.

Ultimately, my goal is to help students genuinely understand accounting so they can confidently apply what they have learned, both in their exams and beyond.
