I’m a friendly and enthusiastic fully qualified teacher who loves finding creative ways to make learning fun and engaging. I believe every learner is different, so I enjoy creating individualised lessons that build on their strengths, target areas for development and help grow their confidence. Alongside my teaching qualification, I have a degree in Psychology, which gives me a strong understanding of how children learn and develop and helps me adapt my approach to get it right for each individual learner.

I am a fully qualified, GTCS-registered teacher with experience teaching across all stages of primary school, as well as teaching Maths and supporting Literacy within secondary education. I have extensive experience working with learners of different abilities and additional support needs, including designing targeted interventions to help close attainment gaps. I also have several years of tutoring experience, creating individual learning plans based on each pupil’s starting point, needs and goals. My experience across both primary and secondary education allows me to adapt learning appropriately while ensuring pupils feel supported, challenged and confident.

My approach to tutoring is completely pupil-focused. I take time to get to know each learner, understand their strengths and identify the ways they learn best. I then tailor sessions to their individual needs, interests and goals, adapting my teaching style and activities to suit them. I believe children make the best progress when they feel confident and enjoy learning, so I aim to make sessions fun, engaging and positive while still providing the right level of challenge and support.
