Choosing a tutor is about much more than finding someone who knows the subject. You want someone your child can feel comfortable with, who takes their worries seriously and helps you feel confident about the way forward. That is the kind of support I aim to offer.

I care about the young person behind the grades. Whether your child needs help catching up, is aiming for the highest marks or has lost a little faith in their own ability, my teaching is fully personalised to their needs. There is room for questions, mistakes and a little laughter along the way. Learning should be challenging, but asking for help should never be embarrassing.

I have more than 110 five-star reviews and have taught students from Eton College, Westminster School, Winchester College, St Paul's School and St Paul's Girls' School. Over the last ten years, my students have achieved A and A* grades in their final examinations and gone on to universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, Edinburgh and Warwick.

Those achievements matter. So does helping your child approach their work with greater understanding, confidence and independence. My aim is for you to see a child who feels more capable, not simply a fuller exercise book.

Teaching Experience

My experience includes teaching students from some of the UK's leading independent schools, with a ten-year record of A and A* results and progression to leading universities. I bring that experience to a programme shaped around your child's needs and goals, rather than expecting them to fit a fixed teaching style.

Tutoring Approach

I start by listening: what does your child find difficult, what do they want to achieve, and what concerns you as a parent? From there, I tailor the pace, explanations and practice to the student. We work on the gaps that need attention while building on what they can already do.

I want lessons to feel friendly, focused and encouraging. Your child should feel able to say, 'I don't understand' without worrying about what comes next. We can try another explanation, break the problem into smaller steps and keep going. No prizes for pretending it all makes sense.

My aim is to help your child notice progress early: a clearer understanding, a question they can tackle independently or a little more willingness to have a go. Every student starts in a different place, so the pace will be right for them, not a promise of instant results.

Two ways to learn with me. Small group classes, for GCSE and Alevel students, where your child learns alongside a few others at the same level, picks up questions they might never have thought to ask, and grows in confidence week by week. Group classes are £30 per hour for GCSE and £35 per hour for Alevel. And one-to-one lessons, where every single minute is built around your child, their gaps, their pace, their goals. One-to-one is £80 per hour for GCSE and £90 per hour for Alevel. Whichever you choose, you will never be left wondering how things are going. I keep parents in the loop after every lesson, and it usually does not take long to see children settle in, smile, and start to shine.

Hi Hamid My son is very happy with your method of teaching. He feels he is challenged to think and not just memorising the syllabus. He said you adjusted the pace of tutorial once you have acquainted yourself with his understanding and knowledge. I appreciate you took the effort to identify topics where my son requires further tutoring and put in a place study plan. Also, I welcome your feedback on my son's development. He feels more confident now and that is a very good start. Kind regards Keng

We’ve been very pleased with the support our son has received for A-level Physics and Maths. Hamid is highly knowledgeable, attentive, and consistently well-prepared for each session. He explains complex topics clearly and patiently, showing a genuine interest in making sure our son fully understands all topics. Hamid is also proactive in requesting additional lessons when needed to ensure all relevant material is thoroughly covered. He goes beyond simply teaching the content, focusing on helping our son understand the underlying principles of each topic, as well as what examiners are looking for in high-quality answers. Our son feels comfortable asking questions and has shown noticeable improvement in his problem-solving skills and overall performance. Hamid is reliable, encouraging, and truly invested in his progress. We would highly recommend him to other students—although we’re half tempted to keep him to ourselves until our son finishes, just to make sure we continue getting his full attention!

Tutor response

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s been a real pleasure working with you and your son and seeing his confidence grow. And I promise not to be too easily shared just yet! (^_^)

I can highly recommend Hamid. His communication was professional and friendly. My daughter found his explanations to be clear, thorough and skilled in both A level Further Maths and Physics. His lessons were engaging and knowledgeable, offering both support and appropriate challenge. Hamid was reliable and flexible, offering to respond to questions after the lesson, which was much appreciated. Thank you for your efforts.
