I’m Muhammad, the founder and lead of SIDH Learning. I am an experienced, enthusiastic and friendly tutor committed to helping students reach their full potential.

I have been tutoring and preparing students for examinations for the last 20 years. During that time, it has been a privilege to see students grow in confidence, ability and enjoyment of the subjects I teach.

I specialise in Mathematics and Sciences and work with students of different ages, abilities and academic levels. I prepare students from the UK as well as students based overseas for 11+, 13+, scholarships, GCSEs, A Levels, school entrance examinations and university admissions tests, including UCAT, BMAT, TMUA, TARA, ESAT and STEP.

I also support students with UCAS applications and university interview preparation, including mock interviews.

I offer both face-to-face and online tuition, using Zoom or another platform that is convenient for the student.

My aim is simple: to help each student develop stronger knowledge, greater confidence, better problem-solving skills and the independence needed to succeed.

Teaching Experience

I have twenty years of tutoring experience and have successfully supported students of different ages, abilities, personalities and academic levels. My focus is on improving subject confidence, problem-solving ability and examination performance through patience, structured practice and individual support.

I am friendly, approachable and punctual, and I believe students make the best progress when they are encouraged and given realistic but challenging goals. I adapt the way I explain and deliver material according to the needs of the individual student.

I also prepare students for a wide range of competitive entrance and admissions assessments, including 11+, 13+, scholarship examinations, UCAT, BMAT, TMUA, TARA, ESAT and STEP.

Tutoring Approach

Approach to Tutoring - Muhammad

I believe every student is unique, so I tailor my lessons to the individual and use the teaching approach that is most effective for them. My twenty years of tutoring experience has reinforced the importance of recognising that students have different needs, strengths and learning styles.

I aim to provide students with a wide range of learning opportunities and experiences so that they remain engaged, motivated and well prepared for their examinations and future studies.

During lessons, I use questioning to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. Rather than simply giving students an answer, I guide them towards finding the answer themselves and understanding the reasoning behind it.

This problem-solving approach is particularly important for demanding entrance and university admissions tests such as UCAT, BMAT, TMUA, TARA, ESAT and STEP, where students need to apply their knowledge confidently in unfamiliar situations.

I use a range of teaching resources and assessment techniques to monitor progress. Examination papers are particularly useful for identifying areas of weakness, allowing us to focus on specific skills and topics before revisiting them through structured revision.

I believe regular practice and repetition are essential for developing familiarity, confidence and long-term understanding.
