Specialist Maths Teacher ➕ GCSE, A-Level Maths & A Level Further Maths ➕ Over 15 Years of Tutoring Experience
I am a fully qualified mathematics teacher with over 15 years of private tutoring experience and classroom teaching. I specialise in GCSE and A level Maths and Further Maths including the pure, stats and mechanics modules.
I have logged over 10,000 hours of private one-to-one tutoring. Over the last 15 years I have taught in various educational settings including schools, sixth form colleges, FE colleges and universities. I currently work full time as a private tutor.
I have helped students prepare for all UK exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR A, OCR MEI), International Baccalaureate (IB), European Baccalaureate (EB), International A Level (IAL) and entrance exams.
Effective tutoring goes beyond simply explaining how to answer a question. I aim to help students gain a deep understanding of the underlying concepts and build their confidence in maths no matter their current level.
I am a patient and approachable tutor. I believe that building a good rapport between tutor and student is essential for effective learning. When students feel comfortable they are more likely to ask questions and fully engage with the tutor.
I set and mark homework after each session to ensure that students practice what they've covered each week.
Hifas is an excellent Advanced Level Maths tutor who understands his students well and caters for individual learning requirements and abilities. He is patient, helpful, organised and attention to detail. My daughter loves her lessons with him and I see her thriving in the subject which is a great pleasure.

My daughter who is in Grade 8 has been studying with Hifas for almost 8 classes already. She is very happy studying with Hifas as she said Hifas has ways to let her understand quickly and his classes are efficient. And also he will prepare the class sheet in advance very well and give feedback to the parents. I highly recommend his class.

Hifas knows the course content inside and out. He was able to adapt to my school system that does the maths and further maths content parallel. Although strong in teaching pure maths, he still has an in depth knowledge in statistics and will always prepare beforehand if needed. He uses notebook efficiently and uploads the notes for you to access. He has an abundant of students, which is no surprise due to his kind and helpful nature. He is effecient at responding and I know he is the perfect tutor to help aid me along the way with my A-levels.

Hifas has been an excellent tutor for our son. He has an excellent approach to individual learning and has shown great flexibility by focusing on the weaker areas. We would highly recommend Hifas to anyone in need of A level maths / further maths tuition.
