I'm Joel, a Course Team Lead and QTLS-qualified Business Studies lecturer, currently teaching BTEC Level 3 Business and T Level Management & Administration at a Further Education college in Hertfordshire.

Over the past three years I've taught Business Studies at every level — GCSE, A-Level, Applied A-Level, BTEC and T Level — plus a spell teaching Business and Economics at sixth form. I also hold a law degree (LLB Hons), so I can support Economics and Law students too, particularly where business law overlaps.

I'm confident with AQA, Edexcel, Pearson and OCR Business specifications, as well as BTEC and T Level assessment criteria — an area where I can offer something most tutors can't, since very few tutor vocational qualifications at all.

Four years secondary classroom and FE teaching experience across the full span of Business education — GCSE through to vocational Level 3 — currently as a Course Team Lead from GCSE to A-Level and T-Level.

My lessons focus on exam technique first: pinpointing where marks are being lost and fixing it directly, then adapting the approach — structured past-paper drilling or re-explaining the underlying theory — depending on what the student actually needs.
