I am a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic primary teacher who is passionate about helping children develop confidence, enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. I value building positive relationships with pupils and creating a supportive, encouraging environment where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed.

I have 33 years of teaching experience across both the state and independent sectors, teaching pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, from Year 1 to Year 6. I have successfully supported pupils in achieving strong results in SATs and preparing for 11+ entrance examinations for grammar and independent schools in Essex and the surrounding areas. My experience enables me to identify individual learning needs, strengthen subject knowledge and help children make progress towards their learning goals.

I enjoy working on a one-to-one basis, tailoring lessons to each child’s individual needs and learning style. I begin with an initial assessment and discussions with parents and the child to identify strengths and areas for development. I provide focused, engaging lessons and appropriate resources to build knowledge, confidence and independence, with follow-up homework to reinforce learning and monitor progress.
