Econ/Stats Grad helping with Maths, Stats & Econ - London/Online

Hi, I'm Rahul! I'm 25 and recently graduated from the University of Chicago with a dual B.A. in Economics and in Statistics. I can teach Maths, Statistics, and Economics at all levels up to introductory university courses. The A-Levels I took were Maths (A*), Physics (A), and Chemistry (A). I've recently moved back to London and can teach both in-person and online.

Teaching Experience

I have done a bit of tutoring for introductory calculus and economics courses while in university. While not academic, I have significant experience coaching beginners in the card game bridge and was the instructor for the Chicago Duplicate Bridge Club's intro series.

Tutoring Approach

I always emphasise understanding the logic behind solving a problem rather than simply the solution itself. I have never been a proponent of rote learning and I believe conceptual understanding is the key to long term academic success. I generally try to structure lessons as a brief lesson of 10-15 minutes after which we spend as much time as possible diving into real problems to get into the habit of thinking critically and building a strong logical base.
