Hi, my name is Nathanael and I'm currently a year 4 medical student at the University of Edinburgh. I completed a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from St Andrews where i started tutoring.

I have tutored for 4 years in National 5 maths, Higher maths, Higher application of maths, Advanced Higher maths and A level maths. I have a very good level of proficiency and knowledge about R Studio used in Higher Application of Maths from my statistics degree and have lots of tips and tricks that students find particularly helpful if struggling with the computational part of Higher Apps

I don't believe that one size fits all with tutoring and that every student responds better to different styles. I usually focus on question based learning going through various levels of questions to identify weak areas to work on. However, for students who don't respond well to that I will pivot to other methods such as using diagrams and metaphors to teach concepts and distill them into something easier to understand.
