I have 23 years tutoring experience with the Qualifications Scotland curriculum and have a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow. Before I started tutoring I spent ten years as a postdoctoral fellow conducting academic, government and private research.

Since 2003 I have been tutoring high school students of all abilities (and the occasional university student) in chemistry, mathematics, and physics. I specialize in tutoring the curriculum (N5, Higher, and Advanced Higher) of Qualifications Scotland (formerly the SQA). I am DBS-certificated and offer in-person or online tuition, and offer a £5 discount for the latter. References are available on request.

My approach is to tailor my tutoring style to the student's needs. I am patient and encouraging, and have experience tutoring students with learning challenges (dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD). In addition, I have many years of experience tutoring students taking advanced classes and preparing for university courses.
