I've been tutoring for over 12 years, supporting students online with GCSE, iGCSE and Functional Skills Maths. I have a calm and flexible approach, carefully tailored to each learner to support them in building confidence, understanding and independence in their study.

Having qualified as a specialist dyslexia tutor in 2023, I'm now training to become a dyslexia assessor. Through this course and my extensive professional development training, I continue to develop teaching strategies to best support students who have different learning needs.

I work with students who are at school, those electively home educated, and those who have EOTAS packages or EHCPs. I can support with topics covered at school, or create personalised learning plans that suit the individual child - I'm always happy to discuss how this works before tuition begins.

I started tutoring while studying for my BSc Mathematics degree and enjoyed it so much that I decided to keep supporting students after I graduated and make it full-time.

As a neurodivergent person, I understand how differently we all learn, and I've applied this to deliver incredible teaching experiences, including remote work, in schools, colleges, and internationally.

I have tutored for over a decade, supporting numerous secondary-aged students and helping adults in the Forces and the NHS gain promotions and achieve exam success.

I specialise in GCSE/iGCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics syllabi, as this narrow focus lets me offer expertly tailored tuition for these courses.

I am an Assistant Examiner for a large exam board and use techniques learned from marking papers to teach students how to answer for maximum marks.

I also run a registered AQA Unit Award Scheme centre, which enables students to gain recognition and certificates for their learning through achievable units. This scheme can provide learners, particularly those who are home-educated, with opportunities to celebrate their progress alongside their wider goals.

I have been a study skills tutor for university students since 2023, supporting undergraduates with essay writing, referencing, organisation, time management, reading, writing, and spelling.

I specialise in supporting neurodivergent students who need a more personalised approach.

I have successfully supported students with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, Autism, and other learning differences towards gaining their desired grades.

Online sessions are varied and interesting, with the student as the sole focus. I listen to their verbal and non-verbal communication and make sure we go at the right pace for them. I draw upon my dyslexia teacher training to break down tasks into steps and incorporate teaching strategies that support effective learning and long-term recall.

Lessons take place on an online platform called Pencil Spaces. It is an online classroom with video calling, built-in mathematical tools, and resources accessible to students for free at all times.
