I’m a teacher, mum of two tweens (one ND), parent coach, dog mum and one to one tutor. When I’m not running my own business, I love baking, books and yoga as well as coaching my girls’ U12 cricket squad.

I’m a former headteacher and have worked in primary education as a trained phonics teacher through to director of sixth form, covering all key stages and culminating in becoming a head for four years. Originally a secondary languages teacher, I have also spent a large part of my career in the primary sector. Outside school, I’ve taught 11+ in Bucks and Slough and I also run my own tuition business, teaching pupils as well as parents so that they can better support their children.
My approach of using topics children are genuinely interested in is set against high expectations and a sense of fun. Children learn best when they feel safe and happy and I strive to set an atmosphere where hard work and kindness are celebrated. I expect all my pupils to be reading regularly when we are working together and I ensure that where helpful, we have movement breaks to keep our focus sharp.
