Teaching Experience
I have been tutoring since 1987 when I started work in a private tutorial college. I worked for eight years (2009-2017) in a state Academy in Essex where I taught GCSE, A level, and STEP. I also did a similar job at another state Academy 2021 - July 2024
Tutoring Approach
The first lesson is given on approval. You only pay for it if you decide to continue. I can structure a course for students who want it, but usually students have problems arising from what they are doing elsewhere and I ask them and the direction which it takes is driven by them. I have helped many students achieve much better results than they initially expected. Many people find that they become much more confident and can understand what they at first found difficult in a well-managed online one to one setting. My students are welcome to send me problems they can`t do by email between lessons to which I will email them the solutions. I get about half my students on recommendation. I do not cover Decision Mathematics (D1 D2) at A level or Modelling With Algorithms.
