Hi, my name is David and I have been teaching Higher Psychology and National 5 and Higher English courses in Scotland during the past 13 years. I have experience of teaching in both schools and colleges as well as individual tutoring work and my students, many of whom have gone on to gain entry to university, have a strong track record of attainment.

I am a qualified and registered teacher for both secondary and college education and have a broad experience of working in schools, colleges, university and in community settings. I have extensive experience of working in an early intervention capacity, engaging with young people in order to motivate and inspire them to find positive pathways to the future of their choice. I also hold a qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and have experience of teaching a number of overseas students who are learning to speak English.

In the first instance, I have extensive experience of having worked within the Scottish curriculum for both Psychology and English and bring a level of expertise to these areas of study. I seek to inspire and motivate my students by encouraging them to engage with their subject and to find areas of personal interest, as well as to develop the skills required to sit and pass exams. I aim to build a rapport in working with students on a one-to-one basis and encourage them to develop positive study habits and routines in preparation for their end-of-year exams.
