Reza

I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher and specialist tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience across schools, colleges, and private tuition. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I specialise exclusively in Mathematics from KS2 through to A-Level and Further Mathematics.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve their academic goals. My lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style and ability level. I have extensive experience teaching GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and entrance exam preparation across all major UK exam boards.

Teaching Experience

I have over 12 years of teaching and tutoring experience in Mathematics across secondary schools, sixth form colleges, and private tuition. During my career, I have taught GCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanics, and advanced problem-solving courses.

I have worked in a variety of educational settings including comprehensive schools, STEM-focused schools, and sixth form colleges. My experience includes teaching at Kings of Wessex Academy, Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College, and Space Studio Banbury, where I taught students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations with consistently strong results.

Alongside classroom teaching, I have delivered thousands of hours of one-to-one tutoring, supporting students across all major UK exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR, OCR MEI, and Cambridge International. Many of my students have improved by multiple grades and progressed to competitive university courses including Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding while also developing strong exam technique and problem-solving skills. I believe students perform best when they genuinely understand mathematical ideas rather than relying solely on memorisation.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each student’s ability level, learning style, and academic goals. I begin by identifying strengths, gaps in understanding, and areas requiring improvement before creating a structured learning plan.

Lessons are designed to be clear, interactive, and supportive, combining detailed explanations with guided practice and exam-focused questions. I regularly monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to help students build confidence and become more independent learners.

My aim is not only to improve grades, but also to help students develop confidence, resilience, and a more positive attitude towards Mathematics.
