Hello, I'm Leanne, an experienced Secondary Physical Education teacher with over 12 years of teaching experience in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding school.

I specialise in A-Level PE, GCSE PE, and BTEC Sport, helping students develop a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. Alongside my teaching experience, I am an OCR A-Level PE examiner and have extensive experience moderating both GCSE and A-Level PE qualifications for AQA and OCR. This gives me valuable insight into examination requirements, assessment criteria, and effective exam techniques.

In addition to Physical Education, I have taught AQA A-Level Psychology, supporting students in developing critical thinking skills and confidence in applying psychological theories and research.

I am an approachable, patient, and enthusiastic teacher with extensive experience in Physical Education and Sport. Over the course of my career, I have taught students aged 11–18 across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, delivering National Curriculum PE as well as GCSE PE, A-Level PE, and BTEC Sport qualifications.

As an OCR A-Level PE examiner, I have an in-depth understanding of the examination process, assessment objectives, and common areas where students can lose marks. In addition, my experience moderating GCSE and A-Level PE coursework has provided me with a strong understanding of the Non-Examined Assessment (NEA) requirements, enabling me to offer valuable guidance on coursework and practical performance components.

I have a proven track record of helping students make significant progress, build confidence, and achieve or exceed their target grades. My tutoring sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each student, focusing on developing subject knowledge, exam technique, and effective revision strategies.

Alongside my teaching career, I am actively involved in coaching and playing netball. This practical sporting experience enhances my teaching and allows me to help students make meaningful links between sporting performance and the theoretical concepts studied in Physical Education. My aim is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and equipped to succeed.

From there, I help learners build their ability to apply sporting concepts, analyse performance, and develop evaluation skills—key areas required to excel in PE and Sport qualifications. By targeting all assessment objectives, I ensure students are fully prepared to achieve their best possible outcomes.
