I am a graduate of Leeds Conservatoire, where I gained my Graduate Diploma in Jazz and Light Music. I am, however, mainly classical trained, though I am happy to teach most styles. I also have Grade 8 Violin and Grade 8 Theory of Music. I have taught privately for many years, and also in schools, for The Irish Arts Foundation from 2005-2010.
I am happy to teach both primary level and adult learners.

I have a fun and relaxed approach to teaching. I am also happy to teach the exam syllabus (both Trinity and ABRSM) Students can study whatever type of music they wish, classical/rock/pop etc, anything goes really! I also enjoy getting older people involved in music, particularly when they have perhaps thought themselves to be 'too old' to learn something new!
Emily is a wonderful teacher, and super friendly! Its always nice to see her and she'll help you play through her own book of songs, and also any you would like to play too! Always providing great advice, helping with my technique while going at my pace :)

Emily is a fantastic teacher. She explains things brilliantly and my daughter lis progressing brilliantly after only a few weeks from being a complete beginner. Highly recommend

First lesson for an absolute beginner and I am super happy with my tutor. Very friendly and easy to listen and learn from. Fee for the 30 mins online very reasonable too. Cant wait for second lesson.

Emily is a brilliant teacher, who has been teaching me how to play the violin, from a complete beginner, for over a year. She is reliable, patient, knowledgeable and able to make you feel enthusiastic about learning the hardest of techniques.
So far so good. Waiting to get face to face first impression. fingers crossed!
