I offer specialist tutoring for students with dyslexia and/or neurodivergent challenges. One-to-One Maths and English tuition for pupils working at p-level to foundation level GCSE and Home-Educated pupils. Lessons are available in a classroom at my Home in Shrewsbury. Teaching is based on multisensory learning, enjoyable and varied activities in a relaxed and informal environment. Lessons are created for the individual pupil after identifying their particular strengths and weaknesses. Exam practice, Homework help, Maths and English skills improvement are all catered for. General psychometric Assessments and Reports are available.

I was originally an early years and key stage one teacher in a small rural school. My classroom included children from 4 to 7 years and included many children with various special needs. I have worked as a supply teacher in many schools across Shropshire before qualifying as a Dyslexia specialist. I have been running my own tutoring business since January 2013 and have taught students with a variety of neurodivergent challenges. I currently hold a Teaching Practicing Certificate with PATOSS.

I supply a medium for children to enjoy and succeed where they have previously failed, and prevent disadvantage and barriers to learning for neurodivergent children. I strive to creating an acceptance of learning differences amongst people without judgement, I support the message that everyone can learn if they want to, given the right tools, encouragement and help. I believe that students are as individual as flames, they can be encouraged to burn brightly or to die out by the environment surrounding them. I endeavour to encourage each flame to burn brighter as it spreads and grows in each Neurodivergent child making their lives and futures brighter by knowing that their difference does not need to be a disadvantage and that they can each learn in their own way alongside other children.
