Hello! I’m Ishani - a student on a gap year. I achieved ten 9s in my GCSEs, including full marks in English Literature GCSE and 97% in Maths GCSE. My second set of students just finished their GCSEs and I’m looking to take on some more. I am going to start Maths and Philosophy at KCL next year.

I’ve been tutoring for around 3 years now but only started full time tutoring in the past year. It’s been an immensely enriching experience and I can truly say this set of students I’ve had have been the best thing I could possibly hope for.

I focus less on teaching content from scratch, although this is something I can do if necessary, and more on filling in gaps in knowledge from lessons, reviewing exam techniques and looking at past papers in order to best prepare my students to get top grades. I’ve found there’s often crucial bits and pieces missing from what students learn in lessons, and I’ve found the most effective way to ensure students to well is to target those gaps in ways which teachers can’t do for a collective class.
