I am a qualified Maths teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students of different ages and abilities. Throughout my career, I have developed a passion for helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals. I chose to teach Maths because I enjoy helping students understand concepts that they may have previously found difficult or intimidating. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student gain confidence in their abilities and realise that they are capable of succeeding. Outside of teaching, I enjoy continuing my professional development and finding new ways to make learning engaging and accessible. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop the confidence and problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after their exams.

I have over 10 years experience of teaching and tutoring. I have a first class degree in Mathematics and a PGCE and QTS. Over the years I have taught a wide range of students with different abilities and have lots of experience with SEN students too. I create a friendly and supportive environment in which students want to learn and progress. I offer individualised support for students with a wide variety of teaching techniques to support the student's needs. I like to use a lot of examples of mathematics in real life and go through problem solving techniques. I always ensure that I keep the parents up to date of their child's progress.

My lessons are tailored to the individual, whether you need help building confidence, mastering difficult topics, improving exam technique, or achieving your target grade. I create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Rather than simply teaching methods to memorise, I focus on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts so that students can apply their knowledge independently and confidently.
