My approach is personalised, structured, and focused on results. Having studied at GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, I understand the challenges students face and the techniques required to succeed at each stage.
I believe every student can master their subject with the right guidance and methods. I tailor each lesson to the individual, identifying how they learn best and building a strategy around that.
Key aspects of my approach include:
- Strong focus on exam technique and question analysis
- Breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable steps
- Encouraging active learning through discussion and questioning
- Building confidence through consistent progress and feedback
- Teaching transferable skills such as revision planning and resource creation
I place a strong emphasis on independent learning and the development of effective study skills. My aim is not only to help students excel in the subjects I teach, but also to help them become stronger, more confident learners overall. I believe that the techniques and habits developed in my lessons can have a positive impact across all subjects, helping students improve their grades more broadly as well as in the specific areas we work on together.
In general I aim to maintain a light, approachable teaching style while ensuring sessions remain focused and productive. I also make myself available outside lessons for quick questions and support, helping students stay on track between sessions.
Above all, I aim to make the subject enjoyable. In my experience, students who engage with and enjoy what they are learning achieve the best outcomes.
