During my school years, I explored a lot of different ways of studying to find what worked best for me (and still am doing this at University!), because I always found that the revision strategies and classroom activities that were taught in school were not helpful as they catered for people who think differently to me.
This experience is what influences my approach to tutoring, meaning that I always tailor my tutoring style to each student. I get to know each student's learning style as well as their strengths and weaknesses in different types of thinking. This approach is supported by knowledge from my degree, as I specialise in neuroscience.
